Madison River Foundation
The film explores the self reflections that stem from the question, “What does the Madison River mean to you?” It reveals the emotional impact that the river has on the individual and the community at large.
The Madison River is the lifeblood of the Madison Valley. It not only supports wildlife, insects and plants; but an entire community of ranchers, residents, anglers and business owners. Its vitality is crucial to the valley’s utter existence.
Jack Creek Preserve
Mission: Preserving Wildlife And Its Habitat By Educating Youth About The Importance Of Conservation.
The Preserve permanently protects 4,500 acres and creates an important elk migratory corridor between two sections of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness. They landscape is managed to increase biodiversity and maintain and improve habitat and to provide special opportunities for education and research.
California Trout
Eternally Wild premiered at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival and aired in more than 140 cities worldwide. It played an integral role in raising awareness on both social and political fronts regarding the Smith River in Northern CA.
The people rallied, and public comments overwhelmingly opposed mining in the area, and no exploratory drilling was conducted. Federal and state rules aimed at killing the mining plan were enacted.
Wild Salmon Center
Northern California has faced drought, heavy water draws for agriculture, and development in and around some of its most important salmon and trout streams. Nonetheless, some salmon strongholds remain intact in the state. These form an important foundation for salmon recovery and rallying points for people who care about salmon and their role in ecosystems, jobs, and recreation. By driving resources into strongholds in California, we can restore wild salmon populations to health and abundance.
Golden Trout
Overexploitation, mismanagement and competition with exotic species have brought golden trout to the brink of being designated as "threatened". Introduced brook trout outcompete with them for food, introduced brown trout prey on them and introduced rainbow trout hybridize with them, damaging the native gene pool through introgression.
